It has been a full, busy week of school and work. I was able to assist at the Saks Fifth Avenue offices the other day to help set up a showroom for presentation. Nothing like making a little food money. The rest of the week will be filled with classwork and internship errands for Russh Magazine. Tomorrow, I basically pick up prepared outfits from the designers and deliver them back to the studio for the shoot. The internship is directly under a stylist, so it is is a fab way to network and jive into the industry.
The past week was filled with heavy classes everyday, two styling shoots with Megan, one all nighter with illustrations, and an all day styling internship traveling all around NY. Yesterday, I had my first opportunity to assist as a stylist’s intern for Russh Magazine. I was sent all over the city from midtown to meatpacking to pick up clothes from showrooms and designer’s stores. Honestly, everything was quite a surreal experience, and I’m damn stoked to continue testing the waters. Plus, free sushi.
More work this upcoming week, as for now, I think I shall concentrate on some costume illustrations and yoga.
The Intent of the previous behind the scenes photoshoot photos are to shoot a series of basic shots of all shoe angles, as well as a few creative shots to showcase the upcoming shoe line in Paris. The shoes are lush and consisted of collectively, leather, snakeskin, metallics, pony hair, and Swarovski crystal details. Photography is by Megan Breukelman, and it was produced by Louis Felix representative, Vivien Bossut and consulting by Kevin Robles. I was able to assist in the completion of this, as well as style creative angles.
